Author/Illustrator Christine Copeland has always been captivated by the beauty of our natural world. As a child, she traveled a lot with her family and was enchanted by the Japanese forest, the magic of the Philippine coral reef and the beauty of the recovering South Korean landscape. As a young mother she fell in love with the rich and colorful Sonoran Desert and the Rocky Mountains. However, she has always felt a pull to return to the New England landscape. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband, sons, cat and dogs and she hopes to share some of her love for New England and its inhabitants through her illustrations and children's books.
Christine has a BFA from Cornell University and a Masters in Elementary Ed. from Antioch New England. In addition to writing and illustrating children's books, she also paints: www.bcc-studios.com/paintings.html She recently exhibited her paintings in Amherst, MA and at The Discovery Center in Turners Falls.
